![]() What is not to like about the Acus? Im just curious. Jun 18, 2019It’s a shame that I can’t find anyone who has experience with the amps that are left in my pursuit of covering the subject market. ![]() Those are quite nice if you don't mind the size.Chris The only amps (or systems) that seem comparable to the sound you can get from the Henriksen (that I have owned) are the Fishman SA-220 or SA-330x PA systems. I like the Henriksen much better than either of those. By the way, I have also owned the Fishman Loudbox Artist and the Genz Benz you mentioned. All I can say is the Henriksen is certainly worth trying out. As with guitars, whether or not someone likes them is a matter of personal preference. I also like the fact that it is 9 x 9 x 9 and lightweight considering the sound it produces. It seems to be very versatile and works well for all those guitars. Blues Mississippi Bluesmaster) and my nylon electrics (Kirk Sand, Taylor NS52ce), and Takamine CP132SC).and my Taylor 512ce 12-fret. I use the Henriksen for my electrics (Taylor T5z, Fender Telecaster, St. People strongly recommended the AER, but I never liked the sound I could get out of it. I play fingerstyle jazz and prefer a very warm, mellow, clear sound. I can't address all your questions, however, I can tell you of the two I prefer the Henriksen by a wide margin. I have owned two of the three amps you mentioned (still own the Henriksen Bud and previously owned an AER Compact). If anyone is out there who has solid playing/gig experience with these final three I’m asking about, as compared to one another (at least to one of the two others), I’d be most grateful. That said, it seems that no one else has experience with these amps on the major forums. In any event, it seems a bit sorry to have to resign myself to buying the entire marketplace of competing products to get a good idea of what they all can do. It’s reverb is good but not my favorite (the Jam 200 has the best reverb and sound overall in this group but takes too much power to run long from my battery. The amp I’m using most often at the moment Is the Boss ACS pro mostly because it suits my current guitars pickup well and it has a pleasing vocal tone and phantom power. I can compare any of these amps directly at the moment. I currently own a Fishman Loudbox Artist, an Acus AD, Schertler Jam 200 (and a Jam 100, which is too small to compete in this conpany), a Genz Benz Compak 300 8”, and most recently a Genzler Array Pro and a Boss Acoustic Singer Pro. The new AER Compact XL Acoustic Guitar Amplifier features a 200 watts discrete power amp design for additional dynamic headroom, a new speaker configuration. ![]() It’s a shame that I can’t find anyone who has experience with the amps that are left in my pursuit of covering the subject market.
