Measurements are as follows Over All L - 23" Face L - 13 1/2" Face W - 4" Horn L - 9 1/2" Height - 9" Hardie - 1" Pritchel - 1/2" Weight 108 pounds ~ LOW RESERVE ~ Peter Wright Anvils were manufactured by Peter Wright & Sons of Dudley England, and for over 200 years held the title for manufacturing the "BEST ANVILS WORLDWIDE", Along with that the Peter Wright anvils were awarded "The Gold Medal" at the Louisiana Purchase expo, First place awarded World's Fair-1893, and highest awards by the exposition jury in St Louis.The award winning Peter Wright anvils need no introduction, the name and excellent reputation speaks for itself. This anvil is work ready and would make an excellent choice for any level Blacksmith. Hardie still nice and square with sharp corners. ![]() The last (right hand) position is pounds and must be equal to 27 or less. If it looks like a five then it is a two or a three. The middle position equals quarters (1/4) of a hundred weight. Nice long pointy horn shows less use than the rest of the anvil, also not blunted as usually found on most anvils. Rules: Any position can be zero, and IF zero is marked with a zero character (0). Few chips along both edges, but still enough sharp areas for when you need it.
